Ubueno is free to use. The subscription unlocks the advanced levels and removes the daily cap on explanations.
You can stop whenever you like, in a few clicks, and get a full refund within fourteen days. These terms say it in detail, but they say nothing more than that sentence.
These terms govern the Ubueno subscription, offered to consumers. They are accepted at the moment of payment. The French version prevails.
VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code. The prices shown are therefore net prices, with no tax to add.
Ubueno is a learning tool, not a translation service. Substitutions are produced automatically: they can contain errors, and we guarantee no learning outcome.

The amounts above are stated in US dollars (USD), our reference currency. Depending on the country you connect from, we may offer you a price in another currency: the price that applies is then the one shown on screen before payment, and that is what you are charged. If your account is held in a currency other than the one charged, your bank applies its own conversion rate and any fees of its own: those go to your bank, not to us, and we do not know their amount.
Net prices, no VAT. There is no trial period, and that is deliberate: the free version of Ubueno is not a time-limited demo, it is the product.
We may change these prices. A change never applies to a running subscription unless we have told you at least one month before the next renewal, and you can cancel in the meantime.
You subscribe from the extension panel. Payment is handled by Stripe; your card details are entered on their side and do not pass through our servers.
An account is required to subscribe, and it isn't red tape: your subscription is attached to your account, not to your browser. That is what lets it survive a reinstall or a change of computer.
The subscription renews automatically at each term until you cancel it.
You can ask for a full refund within fourteen days of your payment, with no reason given. Write to contact@ubueno.app; we refund to the payment method used, within fourteen days.
This applies to renewals too, and even if you have already used the service. The law allows a seller of digital services to withdraw this right once performance begins immediately; we do not withdraw it.
From the extension panel, "Manage my subscription" opens the billing portal and cancelling takes a few clicks — no email to us, no justification.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep access until then, and nothing is charged afterwards. Past that point, Ubueno keeps working in its free version — you lose neither your notebook, nor your progress, nor your maps.
We may cancel a subscription in cases of fraudulent use or attempts to circumvent the service's limits, after telling you.
We run the service as well as we can, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability: maintenance, a hosting failure, or a change to a site you read can interrupt it.
If an interruption attributable to us lasts more than seven consecutive days, write to us: we will extend your subscription by the same amount, or refund the corresponding period.
Our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damages, and cannot exceed the amounts you have paid over the last twelve months.
None of these limits applies in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, nor to the statutory guarantees of conformity, which nothing here reduces.
What we collect, who it goes to and how long it is kept are described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
You can take all your data or delete it from the extension panel. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription: cancel it first, otherwise the charges would continue.

If that isn't enough, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge before taking any legal action. These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protections afforded by the law of your country of residence.
